Other applications developed

The following is a list of the major projects we have implemented. In addition we have written many other smaller applications.

Clarkson International Machine Tools Ltd
A Price List Management program for maintenance of the prices of the company's 6000+ products, production of output files for immediate production of paper price lists using Desk Top Publishing on a Mac, and distribution of the price list as a Paradox file, with a Price List Viewing program, to allow distributors to search for items and quote prices.

Druid Crown Technology plc
On subcontract from Druid Crown Technology plc to help with improving and overhauling a food analysis program for Law Laboratories Ltd. This program helps with the collection of about 50 test results made to foodstuffs, performs many calculations and analyses, and finally prints customised DTP quality certificates, showing the results.

East Birmingham Hospital
A program to help them with the administration of a Staff Lottery. A program had originally been written in-house, however this was giving erroneous results, and the original programmer had left, taking the Source Code with him. We implemented a much more secure, and reliable program.

Huntingdon Health Authority
a) A Fixed Asset Register application, to help the Authority to track all their fixed assets according to the detailed rules laid out by the N.H.S.

b) A Service Costing application, that enables the Authority to accurately cost each Service offered by each department.

Jack Allen Motor Bodies Ltd
A Bill of Materials, Costing, Stock Control and Production Management application for a leading Refuse Collection Vehicle manufacturing company.

Lucas Aftermarket Operations (Lucas Industries plc)
Consultancy to improve the design of an in-house developed application, and Paradox training.

Lucas Engine Management Systems (Lucas Industries plc)
a) Project Register application to keep track of the progress of all of Lucas Engine Management Systems projects.

b) Project and Resource Information System. This large networked application compares time sheet information with project planning data to produce employee payment and absence reports, and Project and Resource management and utilisation reports. Used by over 200 employees on two separate sites.

Pumps & Equipment (Warwick) Ltd
An Enquiry Fulfilment and Customer/Enquirer Database application for a pump wholesalers. With this application, when a customer or enquirer phones up with an enquiry, all of the variables (approx. 10) are immediately typed into the computer, which then searches through the list of pumps supplied by the company, and recommends the most suitable pumps.

Riaz International
A currency exchange and financial management program for the country's largest currency dealer with Pakistan. This program allows the latest exchange rate information (as supplied directly from a Reuters terminal) to be used when buying and selling large amounts of Pakistani and Indian Rupees, to customers all over the world.

Round Peg Recruitment
A Wages module to integrate with their existing Paradox Temp Staff system. This module calculates Temp pay from their time sheets, makes the PAYE, NI, and other deductions, and produces Payslips and Cheques (or BACS transfers). An addition to the Wages module, an linked Sales Ledger module will automatically produce Customer Invoices for all Temp work, and handle Payments received, Credit Notes, etc.

Software Production Associates Ltd
An Order Processing, Stock Control, Royalty Accounting, and Specialised Sales Ledger application for a successful software house that sell large numbers of their Educational Software direct to schools and Local Authorities. Even though this company is a software house, and had enough in-house expertise to write this application themselves, they saw that it was more cost-effective for them to concentrate on their specialisation, and commission us to solve their problems.

Verdict Research Ltd
A generalised market research analysis program. Verdict are one of the country's premier market research companies, leading the field in analysis of the Retail Clothing market. This program helps Verdict analyse the thousands of data items they collect every month, and directly produces reports that they sell to the big retail groups. The generalised nature of the program has enabled them to branch out into other markets.

As all data collection is carried out by their Coventry branch, and most human interpretation is done in their London head office, we have also set up a telecom link (WAN) between the two sites. This allows accurate up-to-date reports to be available in both sites, and also gives electronic mail facilities.

Volkswagen Audi Dealer Advertising
A Dealer Advertising application to help with the booking of advertisements by VAG dealers nationally. The program holds the current year's Volkswagen and Audi advertisement budget figures, and helps manage each dealers advertisement bookings. It also allows the figures to be exported to a spreadsheet for further analysis by the user, and the dealers' addresses to be merged with word processed letters. The program's raison d'être is a sophisticated advertisements booking calendar that it produces for the dealers regularly. Used by all three VAG Regional Offices.
