We have never come back to a customer, asking for more money because the project was bigger than we thought (unlike some we have heard about).

We also know of some unscrupulous companies quote a very low price initially, but only implement exactly what was asked for, to the letter, and no more. If the customer forgot something (which they were bound to have, because they were not computer experts), the software house charges exorbitant amounts to add the missing features.

Obviously if a customer materially changes or add to their requirements we charge for the extra work, but the extra cost is usually small. We often do not charge for small changes to the specifications.
